I have been venturing in to trying to paint more people, and whether they sell well or not, it's a subject matter I greatly enjoy. I've learned more about my own anatomy, even more so my wife's haha, and it has helped me in all other areas of my work a lot. I'm not exactly sure how I first got this idea, but I wanted to do a Native American family portrait. I did have to rely mostly on my imagination since the old black and white photos that I'd stumble across just wouldn't help much. I know its stylized, I'm still learning, but I am very proud of this effort. You just don't see a painting like this out there often, at least I haven't before. I hope y'all enjoy my oil painting.
