This past autumn and winter I spent some time studying and remembering the big skies and vastness of the Great Plains. It's been hard to not be able to return for the past several years, but trust me, y'all should go. You can think, breathe, and have space to heal and grow. Bison are one of my favorite animals. I often think of how life must have been for the Plains natives and how their lives cycled with the seasons in harmony with natures rhythms. Now, most of us live in cities or suburbs and I am concerned for what it is doing to us, especially younger generations. Click on this painting and zoom in. For a minute, imagine you're living in this moment of freedom and excitement.
