On this November day we had an early wet snow that clung to everything - leaves, chicken wire, sticks, grass - it was beautiful!   Then I happened upon my neighbors barn and old implements and felt the beauty of of the words "Scarlet to Snow.”   Remember the verse in Isaiah “though your sins be as scarlet, they will be as white as snow.”   Snow makes things clean and beautiful!  You can have the worst trash spread all around and a few inches of the white stuff falls over it and it looks like a Christmas card!   I marvel at it every time.  On our little farm, we have some St. Croix sheep and Maremma sheep dogs - both white all year round - until it snows, and suddenly you realize, these critters are actually dingy off white.   Our best efforts at looking pure are actually just dingy.  Only God can bring in the purity and cleanness of fresh snow.   Let HIS garments of righteousness cover you and give you peace and true beauty and rest from your efforts to look pure.
