Morning Monarch by Abraham Hunter

I started this painting years ago, and after digging through a box of unfinished originals after moving, I decided to finish it. It reminds me of several late afternoons in winter that I’ve spent exploring the woods. We have a great park nearby that has a ton do deer so I keep my adventures a little local nowadays, but someday I just want to find a deep forest wilderness and spend days getting lost and keeping company with the deer and woodland critters.
