Spring At Rainbow Falls by Abraham Hunter

Throughout the winter, I was working on a lot of studies of waterfalls and streams. Some of them I even did live on Facebook! It was a process to familiarize myself with something that I haven painted a ton in order to be all practiced up on it. I told everyone that it was in preparation for a big painting and here is that big painting! Spring is a magical time in the Smokies when the forests come alive! Thousands of flowers celebrate the back and forth battle between the refreshing rains and invigorating sunshine, while baby bears emerge with their momma’s for the first time. It is also a time when humans flock to the park and surrounding areas to enjoy recreation in the tranquility that the hills offer, venturing off to hike and tour in the day and retreating to the cabin in the evening. This painting combines all the elements we love about this area in a celebration of spring’s fresh new life, moody weather, and beautiful soft colors. I hope y'all enjoy.
