Firefly Cove by Abraham Hunter

This painting definitely has a long story behind it. Early this year I felt such a strong commitment to better my art, chase my dreams for my families life, and charge in to the year full of purpose and inspiration. I am sure it would have been a great year if not for the bad news. I got about half way done with this 24x36 and I was anxiously awaiting summer, when my studio and everything was closed down because of the Covid-19 Pandemic.  I took it home to work and throughout most of the lock-down here in Tennessee, I painted this piece. I grew to be more and more detailed each day, and I feel like it helped me retreat into a world of peace in God's Creation throughout the uncertainty. I’m so proud to release this piece to you today. I hope as you look at it you feel transported into the painting. As you walk down the firefly lit path to take in the breathtaking moonrise on the cabins front porch, pause for a minute to enjoy the stillness and appreciate the simple things like this momma bear and her cubs.
