Paradise Valley by Abraham Hunter

When I first began painting even before the age of 12, the outdoors was always my main source of inspiration.  Then as I started painting professionally, the outdoors became a place to escape stress and a cooped up studio.  It was a place I could go and just sit and relax and talk to God.  As I have become more busy; with more to do and less time to do it, it seems I haven't had time to get out like I used to.  This spring I bought a kayak and I quickly rediscovered my love of fishing!   This painting is a place to escape even when you don't have time to get outdoors. You can get away for a short vacation just by wandering into the painting. You can imagine yourself walking along the stream, or fishing. You can day dream about just sitting and watching the clouds form over the mountains. As you get away; you see there's a lot to be thankful for, even if the fish aren't biting. As with all of my paintings, I hope Paradise Valley touches you and invokes a sense of peace and refreshing and awe at Gods handiwork.
