When Bonnie and I drove up to North West Arkansas to see if we could find a little farm I had found online a few years back, we didn't even know if it was still for sale. The listing was 5 years old and maybe no one would even be living there. We decided to make the 10 hour drive, however, because I couldn't get it out of my mind and couldn't sleep for a couple weeks. I've learned to recognize that as a "leading" so we set out to find this property. When we drove up to the address, the trees along the entry lane wouldn't allow our car's passing, so we got out and walked in the misty rain down the board fence lane to the house. Everything was very overgrown and it was obvious the place had been abandoned and lost in the system. We walked into the front yard and over to the edge of the west facing hill and this view is what we saw. It was a late autumn afternoon, the sun was setting, and the rain had just let up. Maybe it was the warm light bathing over the rugged terrain, or maybe it was Bonnie's hand I was holding, but I knew in my heart "this is where I want to be!" I set out to capture that feeling and preserve the memory of the overgrown yard, the visiting wildlife which was so abundant that first year, and the feeling of "I'm home with the person I love" in my new release - "Autumn's Warm Glow."
