Thom painted this view of Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  This historical building was constructed sometime between 1732 and 1741.  This grand building was the setting of Declaration of Independence signing on July 4, 1776.  It is also the site where the Constitution was written.  Independence Hall used to house the Liberty Bell and is now a museum for U.S. History buffs.
