This piece brings back memories of a time Nanette and I heard that east of Placerville had an unusual out of season snowfall. Nanette and I went to Placerville and hiked up the American River. The “trees along the stream flamed red and gold in their final blaze of fall color; the new-fallen snow still clung to them, adding winter’s glistening white to the glory of autumn.” Although I painted this piece many years after that memorable snowfall, its meaning has deepened for me as I pass through the seasons of my own life.” This painting was released in canvas only.
